Alumel wire 0.2-5mm Thermocouple (2.4122 / Aisi - NiMn3Al / KN Nisil) 1-100 Me

Important: The wire is supplied on a coil, but in certain cases without a coil in a coil. If coil is mandatory for you, ask before ordering.

Alumel wire is produced from a magnetic nickel-based alloy consisting of approx. 93-96% nickel, 1.8-2.5% aluminum, 1.8-2.2% manganese and 0.8-1.2% silicon. This alloy is ductile and remains strong for a long time. It is used as the negative leg of the thermocouple.

Thanks to the high nickel content, Alumel wire primarily exhibits the properties of this metal. These include high heat resistance and excellent corrosion resistance, especially in aggressive environments. Wire is easily weldable and can be brazed.

2.4122 NiMn3Al is used:

  • as thermocouples for temperature measurement (up to 1300 °C);
  • in production of compensating lines;
  • in the manufacture of pyrometers.

Alumel wire has the following properties:

  • high heat resistance;
  • excellent resistance to corrosion;
  • good weldability with Allen common processes;
  • can be brazed well;
  • good ductility.
