The production process entails vacuum induction melting and vacuum arc re-melting (VIM-VAR), followed by a strengthening phase through work hardening and aging. This meticulous process results in impressive hardness levels reaching 55-60 Rockwell C and extraordinary strength levels soaring to 260-300KSI.

Thanks to its extraordinary and unique combination of properties, MP35N® finds versatile applications across several high-stakes industries, including oil and gas, aerospace, and medical sectors. Its unparalleled performance at cryogenic temperatures, without succumbing to embrittlement, combined with its ability to maintain key properties up to 600°F, makes it ideal for use in medical implants as well as orthodontic and prosthetic devices.

MP35N® showcases an exceptional ability to resist a wide array of corrosive environments, including mineral acids, hydrogen sulfide, and seawater. It demonstrates unmatched resistance to stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement, even when subjected to high strength levels. According to NACE MR0175 standards, the material can achieve a hardness of up to 51 HRC when work-strengthened and aged through the approved processes detailed in the accompanying table.
