Product Description

Product Description

Discover the remarkable MP35N®, a multi-phase alloy that combines the robust elements of Nickel, Cobalt, Chromium, and Molybdenum to deliver an unparalleled suite of properties. Revel in its ultra-high strength, exemplary toughness, unmatched biocompatibility, and superior corrosion resistance. Crafted through the sophisticated processes of vacuum induction melting and vacuum arc re-melting (VIM-VAR), this alloy is further enhanced by work hardening and aging. This results in an impressive hardness ranging from 55-60 Rockwell C and staggering strength levels of 260-300KSI.

Thanks to its extraordinary properties, MP35N® finds a multitude of applications across various groundbreaking industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, and medical fields. It performs flawlessly at cryogenic temperatures without succumbing to embrittlement and continues to maintain its exceptional characteristics at soaring temperatures up to 600°F. This versatility makes it the ideal choice for medical implants, orthodontic, and prosthetic devices, further securing its place as a vital component in cutting-edge technological advancements.

MP35N® exhibits a remarkable ability to resist corrosion in environments exposed to a variety of aggressive elements including most mineral acids, hydrogen sulfide, and seawater. Moreover, it shows outstanding resilience against stress corrosion cracking and hydrogen embrittlement, even when utilized in high-strength applications. According to NACE MR0175 standards, a hardness of up to 51 HRC is permissible for materials that undergo the work strengthening and aging process outlined in the accompanying specifications table.

Aircraft Materials is proud to supply MP35N® in versatile round bar configurations, certified to meet standards such as AMS 5844 (0.270" - 1.520" diameter) or NACE MR0175 (0.5" - 2.5" diameter). Additionally, our offerings extend to sheet, strip, and plate products explicitly designed for medical applications, ensuring we meet the diverse needs of our clientele.
